Road-E-O. The Road-E-O was developed by
SWANA as a means of recognizing and promoting
professionalism on the part of truck and
equipment drivers and mechanics in the solid
waste field.

Each year the
Northwestern chapters of SWANA hold a joint
Northwest Symposium. Members come together to
exchange information, socialize, and learn from
each other and technical experts. The symposia
typically offer a lineup of technical sessions
for one or more days, classes in topics of
interest to solid waste managers, and tours of
facilities of interest to the solid waste
community. This years symposium is sponsored by
the Alaska chapter.
